Tatsuno Wax-filled Leather ／ Camel

In places of laces, these side-gore shoes are fitted with elastic cloth on both sides, making them quick to put on and off. They are made without any stitching on the sides so the a single piece of leather (ichimaigawa) wraps around your foot. The leather is made in Tatsuno, Hyogo, before being permeated with wax and tumbled to a finish. The leather is stretched tight, but as you wear the shoes in, it grows softer and fits more intimately with your body temperature. Oblique last of moderate width are used, resulting in a relaxed fit.
