The ankle-high leather shoes known as chukka boots are said to have been originally designed for playing polo, a ball game played on horseback. This may be the reason why these shoes evoke a sense of activeness. They were inspired by the image of someone walking the trails of Mt. Yoshino. The shoes are made suitable for this purpose by the rustic, natural texture of the Tatsuno Wax-filled Leather, which is resistant to water, and the Aspen soles made by Vibram.
